Employee Assistance Program
The University of Denver provides an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) through SupportLinc to all benefited employees at no cost. The EAP is a 100% confidential health benefit, separate from medical insurance, to help you manage a broad range of life's daily challenges, including anxiety, depression, marriage/relationship problems, grief/loss, substance abuse, anger management, work-related pressure, and stress.
SupportLinc offers bilingual support and makes referrals for professional counseling, legal assistance, and financial assistance, as well as support for everyday family issues such as dependent care, car repair, pet care, and home improvement. Receive up to six referred visits per issue per year!

Cigna Behavioral Health
If you are a Cigna Member, and would like to see a counselor for longer than 6 free sessions above and with a doctor that you select, there are many ways to get started. Some employees have found therapists in their area by googling the type of therapy they are looking for or they have used PsychologyToday and typed in Denver or Colorado. This is one way to scroll through doctors that might be the best fit. During this process, please call the individual doctor's office to confirm that they do take Cigna Insurance and confirm the co-pay amount per visit.
If you would like to use Cigna's Behavioral Health Doctor List, this is also a helpful avenue to find a new doctor.
